Tough Glove is dedicated to teaching the sweet science of boxing while offering the benefits of a full body HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workout in one seamless class. Our classes are strictly non contact.

Our aim is to provide a unique and enjoyable experience to everyone who takes to the glove, regardless of ability and fitness level.

Just like tough love, our class will challenge participants and bring them to the best of their ability.

ABOUT US

Our Classes

  • Pure boxing workout. A look into the finer details of boxing as we cover a variety of technical and tactical themes in the sweet science of boxing. Expect plenty of drills, bag work and pad work!

  • Start your journey here and begin with the basic concepts of boxing such as the stance and different punch combinations.

  • Here we test the engine bringing a little more intensity to our boxing workout. An intense full-body workout that incorporates a combination of cardio, strength training and boxing drills to get you fighting fit!

  • This class is specifically for the women. The perfect boxing and HIIT combo. Ideal for basic self-defense, burning calories and toning up.

  • A bag work and circuit based class that will focus on the conditioning your body needs to reach peak performance!

Meet our Coaches!

Unlike many boxing-based fitness classes, our classes are lead and instructed by passionate and active students of the game. Our instructors have experienced the training and preparations that are endured when competing at an elite level, bringing this wisdom to each class. Where better to learn than from the pugilists themselves?

  • FOUNDER

    Tony Browne, our Tough Glove head trainer, is currently a professional boxer after having a very successful amateur career winning national titles and competing and training full time with the national team for many years.Tony has travelled the world with boxing and been involved in training camps with some of the greatest boxers and trainers from around the globe.

    This wealth of experience combined with his certification in personal physical training and his Degree in health and performance science from UCD brings him an edge when it comes to teaching these classes.

  • As a boxing coach at Tough Glove, Matiss brings over 10 years of experience in combat sports to the gym. With multiple amateur kickboxing and MMA titles to his name, he possesses an extensive understanding of striking techniques that are essential for boxing.

    Currently, a professional MMA fighter competing in the prestigious PFL (Professional Fighters League), Matiss has participated in 10 professional fights, showcasing his skill and determination.

    Born in Latvia and raised in Ireland, he combines his diverse combat sports knowledge with boxing training to equip our members with the tools they need to succeed.
